What is Love?
Love is a special feeling that fills your heart. You show love in a smile, a peasant way of speaking, a thoughtful act of charity or a hug. Self-Love is another important aspect of love. Love is treating people and things including your body with special care and kindness because they/it means so much to you. Love is treating other people as you would like them to treat you - with care and respect.
Why Practice It?
Without love, people feel alone. When people believe they don’t matter to anyone they become unhappy. Sometimes people will act angry and do not let others become close. Everybody, whether they realise it or not, wants to be loved. When people give and receive love , the love feels good, because love is good. When people give and receive love, including self-love, they become kinder. Love is contagious, it keeps spreading.
How Do You Practice Love?
Love is putting yourself in someone else’s shoes and caring about them. Love is accepting others with their faults, and loving them just as they are. You can even show love to those you do not know just by caring about them and sending them loving thoughts or prayers. Sharing is one way to show love. Share your time and your love to others, and to yourself. Love is thinking about how you want to be treated and treating others the same way.
